Little Faces

Today I picked a flower

that means something to me

as I cannot imagine planting a flower garden

without some of these little faces

smiling up at you

they were also my Dad's favorite

so to honor him

on this Father's Day week-end

here are some smiling faces

to brighten your Friday

I wish you a week-end full of

sunshine

and happy memory making moments...

and because of this man

Forever in my heart

Love you & Miss you Dad.

Hi Lori - they are so pretty - I agree - no garden is complete without them. I loved the final picture though - very poignant. Lou x

Awww that was really sweet. I've been missing my dad the last couple of days. Wish I could see him on Father's day. I'm off today...a little late, to get him a gift:)

Such a sweet post. I am sure that he is smiling down on you proud of the daughter that he raised. Love all the pansies. Especially those blue and white ones! I have never seen ones like those before. I think I will have to go and hunt some down!

I got your giveaway yesterday! Thank you so much! As soon as the hubby gets home with his puter I will be posting pics that I took of them. I love everything! I just want to know who took my pic first thing in the morning and do I get royalties for them using it on the card?

Sweet friend,
I know how much that man meant and means to you. I feel the same way about my Grampy - I can see the twinkle in his eye, 14 years after he left us. Sometimes, when your heart has been touched, the person who did so remains there forever.
love to you,
xx

My dear friend Lori,
Such a touching post. My dad died in 2008 and I miss him everyday. It is so hard when a parent dies and even harder for you to have lost him when you were quite young. I know that you miss him everyday, but tomorrow will be poignant as it is Father's Day. You can go and look at your pansies and have a special moment with him. I will be thinking of you Lori.
Also, many thanks for your lovely, lovely comment on my giveaway post. Such a wonderful comment. You are so kind and such a loyal and wonderful blogging friend and I'm so glad that I found you all those months ago. You were one of the first blogs that I found. Your blog (and mine) looked so different then. I think that we have all come a very long way since those days.
Have a lovely and special day tomorrow Lori and hopefully, we will meet in London . Make it soon as I'm not getting any younger !!!! hehehehe. XXXX

Hello, just stumbled upon your blog. And what a loving and beautiful tribute to your father. I just love those little pixie faces that belong to pansies.

I came back to add that I scrolled through your blog. Love your photos! And because I'm such a lover of gardening and nature, I'm taking your link back with me to Cozy Little House to share!
